Creating an Adoptable
Your first visit to the create an adoptable page can be a bit daunting! But have no fear - this guide is here to give you a helping hand at creating your first adoptables!
Here is an explanation of the tools found on the first page of the create adoptables page:
Adoptable Name is the name that your adoptable will go by in MyAdoptables - it must be unique.
Description is a small text box which can hold information to tempt people to adopt one of your adoptables - describe the image and maybe hint at some of the levels it evolves into!
Adopt Limit can be set to make your adoptable limited on site - after the adopt limit has been reached no more can be adopted!
Privacy settings allow you to adjust who has access to your adoptable. Public adoptables are listed all around the site, private are not and can only be accessed by a direct link. Making your adoptable password protected makes it private and also requires the user to enter the password you set below to be able to adopt one.
Price can be set if you're a premium member. It is the cost in credits for a user to adopt that adoptable.
After you have filled out this page, you'll reach the edit adoptable page where you can set the levels your adoptable upgrades to its next form at. You can add unlimited levels to all of your adoptables.
The adoptable images you upload should be transparent, 100 by 100 pixels and PNGs
There are also further customisation options displayed such as font color, which requires a hex code, and the font face which will be used for your adoptables. Clicking update will allow you to preview all changes you make as you go.
Once you have created all of your adoptable levels you can go ahead and tick the active box and hit 'update' for the final time - your adoptable is now released and ready to be adopted by users of My Adoptables. Congrats!
